Brewbase
Privacy policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
At Brewbase we believe your recipes are as personal as your coffee. This policy is short because the app is simple: we don't want your data, we just want you to brew a great cup.
It stays on your phone
Recipes, brew history, beans, and notes are saved only on your device. Brewbase has no accounts and no cloud of its own. If you uninstall the app, that data goes with it.
If you export a backup, the file only leaves your phone when you share it.
Zero tracking
No ads, no analytics, no tools telling us what coffee you drink or when. We don't sell or share your recipes.
Accounts and payments
We don't ask for sign-up, email, or phone number to use Brewbase. The app is currently free and we don't process payments.
Permissions
You can brew coffee without granting extra permissions.
If you want to see the timer when you lock the screen or switch apps, Android may ask for notifications. It's optional: if you deny them, the timer still works inside the app.
When you share a recipe or open a link or QR code someone sent you, it uses the phone's own tools. That doesn't send your recipes to a Brewbase server.
How to delete your data
Delete a recipe in the app, or uninstall Brewbase. Since there's no cloud account, we don't have a copy on our servers.
The phone's own backup (the Android one, if you have it on) is managed by the system, not Brewbase.
Changes
If we ever add cloud backup, accounts, or analytics, we'll update this page and let you know in the app before changing how your data is handled.
